Sometimes you just want to whip up something easy, fast and decadent. This Easy Brownie Lava Cakes recipe is the perfect choice. Only a handful of ingredients, a little bit of prep, and you’re on your way to a heavenly dessert with a molten dark chocolate center. This recipe makes four delicious brownie lava cakes, so invite a friend (or three).
BAKE MODE:
Prevent your screen from going dark while you bake.
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and sugar 4 (4 oz) custard cups or ramekins. Place circle of greased parchment paper with greased side up in bottom of each custard cup.
Remove wrappers from chocolates; set aside. Mix brownie following package directions.
Place 6 tablespoons brownie batter in bottom of each prepared cup. Gently place 4 chocolates with the point down in center of each cup. Cover chocolates with 2 tablespoons batter.
Bake 31 to 33 minutes or until brownie surfaces are cracked. Remove from oven; cool on wire rack 15 to 20 minutes or until cups are cool enough to handle.
To serve, gently run knife around outer edge of brownie ; invert onto serving plate. Remove parchment paper; garnish as desired. Makes 4 brownie cakes.
