Make chocolate chip cookie bars using a cookie mix and HERSHEY'S Cocoa. This delicious recipe transforms the ordinary cookie!
BAKE MODE:
Prevent your screen from going dark while you bake.
Heat oven to 375°F. Generously grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan or line pan with non-stick foil.
Stir together cookie mix and flour. Add 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter and nuts; mix with wooden spoon or hands until crumbly.
Press 3 cups crumb mixture into bottom of prepared pan; bake 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt remaining 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter in medium saucepan. Add cocoa and sugar, stirring until well blended. Stir in sweetened condensed milk, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour over baked crust. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over surface If desired, sprinkle with milk chocolate chips and additional nuts, pressing down lightly.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until crumbs are lightly browned and filling is set. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
