Classics are classics for a reason, and HERSHEY’S Classic Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies simply cannot be beaten in the world of baked goods. It doesn’t matter if the batch is being served to a class full of buzzing kids, a large family with lots of different dessert preferences or a room packed with businesspeople mid-conference. With a plate of warm, home-cooked chocolate chip cookies dotted with soft, melty HERSHEY’S milk chocolate chips, you can bet that all 60 treats in the batch will disappear in no time. Classic!
Heat oven to 375°F.
Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until creamy. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
A combination of chip flavors can be used for the 2 cups needed.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
Pan Recipe: Spread batter into greased 15-1/2x10-1/2x1-inch jelly-roll pan. Bake at 375°F. 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. About 48 bars.
