If you’re looking for an old-fashioned treat that never goes out of style, you can’t get more retro than GOOD & PLENTY Licorice Candy.
The History of GOOD & PLENTY Candy
Created by the Quaker City Chocolate and Confectionery Company in 1893, GOOD & PLENTY Candy is one of the oldest branded candies in the United States. Hershey purchased the brand in 1996 with the acquisition of Leaf Inc.
An engineer who used GOOD & PLENTY Candy to run the train, “Choo Choo Charlie” made his commercial debut in 1950. Soon everyone was singing his catchy jingle: “Love my GOOD & PLENTY! Really rings the bell! Love my GOOD & PLENTY! Don’t know any other candy that I love so well.”
