  • 1 1/4 cups
    all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup
    granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsps
    baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 cup
    buttermilk or sour milk
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 3 Tbsps
    butter, melted
  • 2 tsps
    vanilla extract
  • powdered sugar, optional
  • Chocolate Glaze:
  • 2 Tbsps
    light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsps
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    hot water

Directions

Tip

To sour milk, use 1 1/2 tsps white vinegar plus milk to make 1/2 cup.

Tip

The batter can be placed in a large food storage bag. Then, cut 1/2 inch off the tip and pipe into donut wells.

Chocolate Glaze: Place 1/2 cup HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, 2 tablespoons light corn syrup and 2 tablespoons butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) in 20-second increments until chips are melted. Stir in 1 teaspoon hot water, adding more hot water 1/2 teaspoon at a time if needed, until the mixture is smooth. Makes about 1/2 cup of glaze.
