Bakechocolate cake according to package directions in 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Cool completely.
Meanwhile, prepare chocolate pudding following box directions. Refrigerate while cake cools and until ready to assemble dessert.
Cut cooled cake into squares (about 1-inch) and crush candy bars into crumble.
To assemble, cover bottom of clear glass serving bowl with cake squares (using 1/4 to 1/3 of cake).
Cover cake squares with layer of chocolate pudding (about 1-1/3 cups). Top with about 2 cups whipped topping and sprinkle with 1/2 (about 3/4 cup) crushed candy bars.
Repeat layers with cake, pudding, 1/2 of remaining whipped topping and crushed candy bars. (Extra whipped topping can be saved for another use.) Chill at least 1 hour or until ready to serve. Makes 12 to 15 servings.
