Count down to the holidays with a tradition the whole family can look forward to! This DIY holiday advent calendar combines your favorite Hershey holiday candies with fun daily activities. Simply fill each envelope with a sweet surprise, add an activity card and hang them all together for a festive display that makes every day leading up to the holidays a little more memorable.

You'll Need

large frame with backing or framed chalk/cork board
Twine
Glue dots or double sided tape
Printable activity cards
Scissors
Medium tipped marker
25

small coin envelopes
Hershey Holiday Candy (your favorite)
mini clothespins
decorative stickers
Stapler

Directions

Prep the Calendar Pieces:

Print and cut out the 25 activity cards.

Tip: Use the marker to write a fun holiday activity to do on the back of each card.

Attach each number card to a coin envelope using a glue dot or double-sided tape.

Decorate the cards with festive stickers.

Fill each coin envelope with a piece of your favorite Hershey holiday candy and fold it closed.

Assemble the Calendar

Lay the frame flat and cut pieces of twine the width of the frame, leaving a few inches of excess on either side. Space twine evenly in five rows and tuck the excess twine underneath the frame.

Flip the frame over and secure the excess twine with some staples to the back.

Tip: Use some tape for extra support.

Flip the frame to the front. Using mini clothespins, clip each bag onto the calendar.
