Cool off with a scary-good twist by blending up this Summerween JOLLY RANCHER Watermelon Slushie. Since it’s Summerween, carve up a jack-o’-lantern watermelon (instead of a pumpkin)! JOLLY RANCHER Watermelon Hard Candy syrup (recipe below)
1 cup

water
1/3 cup

ice, if desired

Plastic wrap

Ice cube tray

Heat resistant bowl

Directions

Freeze 4 cups watermelon. If there are a lot of seeds, the watermelon can be pureed in a blender and strained into ice cube trays.

Tip: Any leftover frozen watermelon can be used as flavored “ice” or to make more of this recipe.

Prepare JOLLY RANCHER syrup. Melt ½ cup hard candies (about 20 candies) with ½ cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until dissolved. Pour syrup into a heat-resistant container and cool to room temperature. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator until needed.

Place frozen watermelon into a blender with ½ cup syrup and 1 cup water. Blend on low until well combined. Serve immediately.

Tip: Syrup can be made using any JOLLY RANCHER Hard Candy. To increase syrup yield, use a 1 to 1 candy to water ratio.
