You'll need

Directions

1
organizing and preparing your workstation

Prep your working surface with a light dusting of cornstarch or powdered sugar.

2
rolling out the fondant dough

Roll out fondant dough to a 1/8-inch thickness.

3
cutting out petals using small circle cutter

Cut circles from the fondant to make petals. You’ll need 5 to 11 petals, depending on how large you want your roses.

4
pinch and pull the circles to create petal shapes

Gently pinch the circles with your fingers to make the circles imperfect, creating a more realistic petal shape.

5
start forming the roses starting from the center and working outward

Start the center of the rose by rolling one petal in your fingers. Before that petal is rolled closed, tuck the edge of a second petal in and continue rolling.

6
continue overlapping petals around the flower

Take a third petal and center it on one of the seams. Tuck the edge of a fourth petal in and continue rolling, overlapping petals around the flower until you’re happy with the size.

7
finishing the fondant roses and repeating previous direction steps

Repeat steps 3-6 to create as many roses as you like.
