From England to Hershey, PA
CADBURY Chocolate got its start in 1824 in Birmingham, England as drinking chocolate. The Cadbury brothers, George and Richard, expanded operations and set out to build a one-of-a-kind factory. They wanted to create a space where employees could live, work and play happily with their families (sound familiar?).
Like Milton Hershey, the Cadbury brothers imagined a chocolate company that combined exceptional quality with a generous spirit toward their community. That shared vision made The Hershey Company the perfect choice to acquire the US CADBURY license in 1988. We’ve been making the delicious chocolate for US candy lovers ever since.
